KAUFMANN Sustainability

KAUFMANN is a traditional company that has been family owned for over 100 years. We value honesty and accountability, and that applies when it comes to sustainability. We know that the word sustainability can be a complicated and opaque concept that requires us all to be able to grasp complicated numbers and relationships. For us, the conclusion of the climate debate is that there are no chrome-plated solutions that completely remove the climate footprint of garment production and sales.

At KAUFMANN we are aware that we are part of an industry, the textile industry, which has a significant impact on the environment and which significantly affects the climate. We are also aware that our online shop in particular, as we grow, is having an increasing environmental impact. Therefore, we are also aware of the importance of the choices we make and we believe that even small positive initiatives can have an impact in the long run.

We have an ambition to minimize and offset parts of our carbon footprint through proactive and compensatory initiatives and while we are proud of the actions we have already implemented in our business, sustainability and corporate social responsibility is not an end destination for us. Rather, for us it is a constant journey that we invite our customers to join.
